Our Beginnings
Due South 3D Production WorX was founded in March 2020, just two weeks before the lockdown.
We started with a single filament printer and one client who wanted to build his own model trains in 1:24 scale.
During the lockdown, we printed parts for him, and gradually, one printer paid for the next. Today, we have a small print factory with both filament and resin
printers.
Our client base has expanded to include a well-known entertainment company, crop spraying drones, figurines, boxes for electronic components, parts for telescopes, and various other requests.
We also offer basic design work or modifications where possible.
new developments
We have branched out into designing and developing a star tracker that includes motorized declination, a feature not commonly found in entry-level star trackers.
Additionally, we have designed a lightweight tripod base that can be used for both our star tracker and standard photography work.
Both products are very affordable for those interested in astrophotography but unable to afford the more expensive imported options.
These products are entirely “home-grown” meaning they come with local support and repair services if needed. The software is also Wi-Fi enabled, allowing for easy updates when connected to the internet.
